The objective of this study was to develop an Energy Foresight Plan for 2022-2050 for the Argentine Undersecretariat of Energy.

This plan presents different energy and socioeconomic scenarios to meet decarbonization goals and strengthen national energy planning.

Three scenarios were developed, each considering different levels of integration of technologies related to the energy transition (renewable energy, battery storage systems, electric vehicles, low-emission hydrogen, energy efficiency, and electrification of new uses).

For each scenario, the required investments, jobs created, and greenhouse gas emissions were estimated.
