With the aim of evaluating the relationship between service quality with VAD, customer density and electricity losses, a statistical analysis was carried out based on public information corresponding to Latin American and Oceanian companies, as part of our annual benchmarking program.
As a result, it was concluded that the service quality indicators (SAIFI, SAIDI) have an inverse correlation with the VAD (USD/MWh) and customer density (customer/MT network length) and a direct correlation with loss levels.
The results corroborate the existence of a relationship between loss levels and supply quality, something that is to be expected given the deterioration that high energy losses cause to the networks.
